Here you can watch an impression of a concert the Niels Tausk Quintet gave in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, that Radio Netherlands (de wereldomroep) made on march 14 2009.
It was my good fortune to have had Niels as a student, and hearing him today is like a coming of age of his early promise. He has a developed ear for harmony, his music is personal, intense and reflects his sense of integrity. It's a delight to hear him play.

- I'm proud that my new CD "Blown Away" is out on the jazzimpuls label (Challenge records). With a great line up including Peter Beets on piano, Ferdinand Povel on tenor, Jos Machtel on bass and Joost van Schaik on drums. The music is all dedications, like Cedar Walton's "The Maestro", for Duke Ellington, or Blue Mitchell's "Blue Silver". Barry Harris, to whom I also dedicated a tune wrote a wonderful line for the liner notes! We did a presentation party in the Bimhuis on the 16 of september 2007.

matured, and what a beautiful promise fulfilled." (Barry Harris)

In Utrecht we were joined by the wonderful Herb Geller, a wonderfull experience. I also played a concert with the great pianist Hod 'o Brien.
- In november 2007 I did a tour with Rein de Graaf, this time with Frank Morgan.
- Last year I did a tribute program to Ella and Louis with the great Mirjam van Dam, Joost Kesselaar and Berend van den Berg.
